Anticipation

The anticipation is killing me
Filling me throughout the night
All day I’ve been thinking
About how special her light
Is. How her likeness can
Bring visions to the sightless
How her dark places can
Contain so much brightness
Make a man wanna dive in
But I gotta practice patience
Just watch how she paces
Body speaking so gracefully
Looking heavenly and tastefully
Revealing our cadence
With every move that she makes for me
Basically resonating our spiritual wavelengths
I take my time as I stride
And arrive at her side
Letting the mood decide
Where my muse would guide
Somwhere the world gets lost
And everything else detaches
All that’s left…
